Prepare for a sugar coma.

Las Vegas-based Sugar Factory American Brasserie will open its first Georgia location in the spot formerly occupied by Mi Cocina at 1080 Peachtree St. in Midtown. Mi Cocina closed in 2016 after four years.

Sweet Factory, which also has locations in cities including Miami, Dubai, Manila and Chicago, is set to open in spring 2019, What Now Atlanta first reported.

The lengthy Sugar Factory Menu offers a variety of drinks, ice cream creations and savory items. On the beverage side, look for smoking candy cocktail goblets including the Fuzzy Peach Penguin Mango, “designed and tasted by (musical artist) Pitbull, according to the menu and made with vodka, peach and mango puree, sparkling citrus soda and garnished with gummy fruit slices and peach penguins; martinis including the Bubba Bubba Gum and the Sour Apple Lolly and other custom cocktails including a boozy take on a root beer float.

Soak up the booze with the eatery’s food offerings including several different kinds of pancakes, waffles, French toast and crepes; appetizers including Rainbow Sliders, mini burgers served on colorful buns and served with a toy duck to take home; soups and salads; sandwiches including the Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich; several “Monster Burgers” including options using waffles or doughnuts in the place of traditional buns and The Big Cheesy, a burger topped with macaroni and cheese and bacon; and pastas and other entrees.

The extensive dessert offerings include cakes and ice cream sandwiches; “Old-Fashioned Milkshakes” including The Barbie, made with vanilla ice cream and strawberry gelato blended with marshmallow fluff and topped with whipped cream and pink rock candy; “Insane Milkshakes” including the Tie Dye Milkshake made with vanilla ice cream mixed with various colors of chocolate ganache and topped with whipped cream, pop rocks, cotton candy, a candy necklace and rainbow sprinkles; a variety of chocolate fondues; and sundaes for two as well as the King Kong Sundae, which serves 12 and is made with 24 scoops of ice cream covered with 13 different toppings including giant lollipops, hot fudge and crushed waffle cones and topped off with lit sparklers.

Also look for a separate brunch menu served daily as well as a variety of coffee and espresso drinks.

In addition to its over-the-top menu, Sugar Factory is also known for its “couture pops,” lollipops on bedazzled stems.
