Earth Day is Sunday, and this year we’re looking for ways to help you eliminate waste in the kitchen and when you eat out. Check out these Earth Day events, and read 14 stories that will inspire you to be a little kinder to our planet this year and beyond.

Recess at Krog Street Market will donate 100 percent of all sales of its Earth Day Salad — made with spring mix, salmon, cucumber, pickles, everything rye crisps and beet vinaigrette — to Trees Atlanta on April 22.

The Sun Dial Restaurant will honor Georgia’s honeybee, the state’s official insect since 1975, with the Bee’s Knees cocktail made with gin,  lemon juice and Orange Blossom Honey from the Savannah Bee Company.

Skyline Park, Ponce City Market’s rooftop amusement park, will host a Spring Fling celebration on Saturday, April 21. The two-part event will feature family-friendly activities during the day and transform into an adults-only party beginning at 4 p.m. For every entry ticket purchased, a tree will be planted in partnership with One Tree Planted, a national non-profit that works with reforestation organizations around the world. Guests will be able to choose on a world map where they want their tree to be planted. Daytime admission will be $10 for adults and children; nighttime admission will be $15 per person.

Environmentally-minded brewery Mother Earth Brewing is taking over three of Whiskey Blue’s taps through April 22. A portion of every draft beer purchased will be donated to the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Cocktails using eco-friendly liquors will also be available.
