Here are the stories that made a splash in the Atlanta food world this week.
Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar is set to open its second location in Brookhaven this spring.
Boyd A. Rose will serve as chef, Paulo Junior as managing partner and Stephen Elder as general manager. Elder will also oversee the wine program.
The Brookhaven menu will be similar to the one offered at the Alpharetta location, with staples such as Southern fried chicken served with buttermilk mash, garlic green beans and smoked bacon jalapeño gravy and grilled lemon basil jumbo shrimp with grilled corn, roasted mushroom and spinach pearl couscous, lemon beurre blanc and crispymushrooms.
The decor will include dark leather and reclaimed wood paneling. The restaurant seats 86 guests inside and an additional 50 on the outdoor patio and a private dining room can accommodate 22 seated guests.
The restaurant will be open for weekday lunch, nightly dinner and Sunday brunch.
