It’s National Pizza Day, Atlanta — here’s where to get deals, where to eat and how to make your own

It’s National Pizza Day, and there are plenty of restaurants that are here to help you save some dough. Fancy yourself a pizzaiolo in the making? We’ve also got recipes for you to craft the perfect pie at your place. Read on for deals, some of our favorite spots for pizza, pizza news and recipes.

Deals at local restaurants

Al Forno’s: Buy one specialty large pizza and get one medium, one-topping pizza free. The eatery is also offering Dinner for two, which includes a large specialty pizza, little Caesar salad and two chocolate pot de creme for $25.

 

The Local Pizzaiolo: Want to win free pizza for a month? The recently opened The Local Pizzaiolo has a contest that can help you do just that.

You can enter three ways:

1) Follow them on Instagram and tag your favorite pizza loving friend.

2) Stop by their Westside Location and fill out contest card with your name/email

3) Visit their website and join their database (the Ciao Down E-Club)

If you win, you get two pizzas per day for 30 days.

Godfather’s Pizza – Along with other discounts, you can get a medium, one-topping pizza for $3.99 with the purchase of a large specialty pizza at participating locations.

Little Caesars – Get extra pepperoni and cheese for $1 when you upgrade to Little Caesars EXTRAMOSTBESTTEST at participating stores.

Papa John’s – Among other deals, get 25 percent off when you create your own deal with regular-priced menu items.

Papa Murphy’s – Get $2 off any large pizza or $3 off any family-size pizza.

Pilot Flying J – Beginning Thursday, get a free slice of pizza on Friday when you download the myPilot app.

Pizza Hut – Among other deals, get two medium, two-topping pizzas for $5.99.

Pizza Patrón: Get any specialty pizza for $5.99 on Friday.

Yard House — Get pizza for half price during the restaurant’s happy hour from 3-6 p.m.
