There’s no such thing as a free lunch, but how about a free dinner?

French restaurant Le Bilboquet is hosting a four-course bourbon dinner on Tuesday, Jan. 23, and you have the chance to win two free seats to the event.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will select two myAJC subscribers who, along with their guest, will join AJC food and dining editor Ligaya Figueras for the evening. The menu will include marinated bay scallops and ahi tuna, braised veal cheeks, roasted duck breast plus an amuse bouche and dessert. Bourbon will be provided by Breckenridge Distillery.

To win a pair of free seats to Le Bilboquet’s bourbon dinner ($170 value), leave a comment below telling us why you and your guest should be chosen. Winners will be selected Thursday, Jan. 18 and notified by Friday, Jan. 19. Winners must be myAJC subscribers. Winners and their guest must be 21 or older.

I would love to take my wife out for a nice meal and the opportunity to talk about dinning in Atlanta.

I am celebrating the life of my wonderful friend who has 4th stage throat cancer.  She cannot talk but she can still enjoy delicious food. Her bucket-list included a trip to Atlanta for her birthday on Jan 24th. It would be so awesome to win this dinner and add to her last memories. I love this beautiful lady and I am going to do whatever is in my power to  show her a great time in the ATL. I am a long time ATL subscriber and I would love to win this dinner for my lovely friend.

We have been loyal subscribers for decades. A gesture of a dinner as a way of saying "thanks" would go a long way. Plus, at 65, we need a reason for a date night!!!

Pick me!  Choose me!  Dine with me!  I'm turning 60 this year and it would be a great way to start the celebration.  I love to cook and I absolutely adore French cuisine.  I always enjoy reading Ligaya Figuera's restaurant reviews and experiencing new restaurants.

I moved here 7 years ago and the AJC was an ideal way for me to understand the culture.  I am a devoted subscriber to paper and e-versions of the AJC.  Sundays would not be complete without the paper version, in fact when I am out of town my neighbor saves my papers for me to read upon my return.  I would to experience the dining adventure and write a review

To cook or not to cook; that is the question. I as an A JC subscriber for ions wish to analyze, comment, and enjoy a wonderful French dinner, thank my child’s alma mater (GA Tech) for the 2 wonderful opportunities we had to spend with my daughter on her study abroad in Lyon and Metz. Dinner will bring back these fantastic memories, and yes, the biggest “thing” I ever won was a bag of onions.

Hey my wife Tamara and I would love to join the AJC for a wonderful free dinner, have been a subscriber for over 35 years and she's such a great cook loves all the cooking shows ( Hells Kitchen, Bobby Flay, Guy Fierror) sorry if I didn't get those correct but she's the connoisseur it would be so exciting and wonderful for us both so pick us and let's enjoy a Super night out. Thank you the Scott's.

P.S. Enjoying this beautiful blanket of Snow at 7 am.

I just turned 60 in DEC and I will be celebrating my transition to the 60’s all year and what a wonderful way to start the year off with a delicious free meal. I just started back with the AJC but we had the AJC delivered for probably 50 years, tell me that’s not loyalty. I would love the experience since I will be doing a lot of things to enjoy my life as a sassy senior. Go ahead make my day :)

My husband works so hard out here on our farm in South Fulton County. We hardly ever get a night to our selves taking care of things. We would love to go out to dinner sometimes but it just usually not in the cards. We would love for the AJC to take us out one night for a good dinner. I'm sure there is a good story to cover here.

I would be the perfect winner because of my academic and work experience. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. One of those classes included where we cooked and served upscale seven-course dinners. The subject of these dinners were often based on different European countries such as Italian.

Of course others have taken that class and have the same, or better qualifications, so why the heck pick me?! Because I can no longer work in the field which I adore because of an autoimmune disease disallowing my muscles to receive communication from my nerves. The condition is called Myasthenia Gravis, and it affects my extremities and core. This condition causes weakness and fatigue. Any physical activity beyond everyday normal activities causes me to at least sit down and rest. Therefore I believe I deserve this special treat.

If you want proof to show I am not treating this as a reality show application, I have documentation including my college transcript.

Oh, please! Pick me! It would be a delightful and delicious treat for my daughter and me to have dinner at the playful Le Bilboquet. We are definitely francophiles — we love all things French, and we’re omnivores — we enjoy fine cuisine no matter what the ingredients. (And yes, she’s old enough to enjoy the wine.) We promise to tell all our friends about our experience!

My husband and I are fairly new to living in the city - we enjoy experiencing and understanding new and different food and drinks in every locale when possible. This would be such a treat...our past year has included some difficult times as we’ve lost loved ones and continue to support care for others. As our commitment and thank you back to you, we would welcome the opportunity to help provide the content and writing for your review!

Please consider selecting my husband and me to be included in the dinner at Le Bilboquet.  We are fairly new to the Atlanta area and quite honestly, as two seniors in our 70s, it would be delightful to dine at a restaurant other than a fast food restaurant that my husband most often chooses for us.

My husband and I moved to Georgia and I still feel pretty new to the area even though it has been 7 months. Exploring Buckhead and experiencing at least one restaurant there has been at the top of our list of things to try but sadly we haven't made the time yet. Thankfully subscribing to AJC has kept us in the know of options that are happening in and around town. We would love to win the dinner experience to start us off on a new path of experiencing more of our new community.

It would be an honor to celebrate Tuesday with Ms. Figueras. My wife and I haven't had a decent glass of bilboquet since the last time we were in France. We also like French food, especially those little chewy things.

My wife and I will be celebrating 52 years of marriage on January 23rd. Having an exquisite meal at such an outstanding restaurant would help celebrate our 52 years of marriage in a marvelous way! It would be a wonderful treat for my wife and me!

I would love to win the 4-course bourbon dinner for 2 because I adore French food, but rarely have the opportunity to eat it. My partner and I are senior citizens on a fixed income. Thank you.

I'm an American, however, I was born in Paris, France (father was in the military), baptized in Notre Dame (which doesn't happen any longer), but never had the opportunity to eat any French food while I was there.  So I'd love this chance to experience this eating extravaganza with a food critic.  I'm a foodie and what a memory this could be!  Au Revoir!

I have been a subscriber to the AJC for over 25 years.  I would love to win this dinner as I am a regular reader of the food section and restaurant reviews and would love to try this restaurant.  I would also love to win to celebrate my birthday!

I would love this opportunity. I’m a 72 year old single female that’s a retired RN and can’t imagine being able to have this experience without AJC’s help. This would be a fantastic memory for me and my friend. Thank you.

We would like to enjoy that free dinner because my wife and I recently moved back to Georgia after being away for 18 years serving in the military.  We loved our visit to France, enjoyed every meal!

We are the parents of a Buckhead bride to be and have been working our tails off searching hotels, restaurants and Atlanta area festivities for the Kentucky family to enjoy during the big weekend. We deserve this dinner at Le Bilboquets! Besides, those Ky relatives think they know bourbon. We can "enlighten" them!

Thank you

Bourbon is a tradition in our family — to the extent of inheriting one square inch of Jack Daniels when my family passed away. I also inherited his love for Bourbon Manhattans coupled with delicious food. Even asking for my hand in marriage 20+ years ago was done over a Bourbon Manhattan. My husband and I would love to celebrate an evening at Le Bilboquet and raise a glass in dad’s honor.

Hi--my wife and I don't get the chance to dine out in ATL very often.  She is a Flight Attendant with Delta and I travel domestically for work.  We'd love to join you for dinner Jan 23rd. It's one of the few dates we are both home together in January...

My wife and I moved here recently and would love to explore new restaurants. Le Bilboquet’s sounds like a fantastic place to eat. Being able to learn about the Atlanta dining scene from the food and dining editor sounds like the perfect way to get acclimated. We are excited to join you!
