New Year’s Eve parties, New Year’s Day celebration and more this week in Atlanta

Boxing Day brunch. New Year’s Eve parties. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time. And, happy new year, good people.

Tuesday, Dec. 26: Celebrate Boxing Day at One Eared Stag with brunch prepared by Chef Robert Phalen from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 31: Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a four-course dinner at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. The menu will include chilled Maine lobster tail, butternut squash ravioli and lemon sole. Reservations are necessary. A seat at the table will be $85; the a la carte menu will also be available.

Sunday, Dec. 31: Head to Canoe for a special holiday menu featuring tomato and lobster bisque, East Coast oysters on the half shell, pepper corn crusted kangaroo, filet mignon, boneless Australian lamb rack and more. A special dessert menu will also be available. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 1: Nakato Japanese Restaurant will celebrate its 45th anniversary with a three-course menu featuring Japanese offerings such as beef tataki roll, shrimp tempura roll, tuna tataki, hibachi-style blackened ahi tuna, steak or shrimp. Hibachi will be served with steamed rice, vegetables and noodles. Guest also receive a choice of Nakato select sake, beer or white or red wine. A seat at the table will be $45.
