A new fast casual pizza restaurant is making a big play for metro Atlanta.
A fourth location of The Local Pizzaiolo has been announced for West Midtown, set to open this October. Previously announced locations of The Local Pizzaiolo include Sandy Springs (set to open by the end of the year), Toco Hills (set to open in October) and Reynoldstown (opening date to be determined).
The Local Pizzaiolo is being launched by entrepreneurs Allison Satter Hill, Fiorenzo Bresolin and Giulio Adriani. Hill told Tomorrow’s News Today that she envisions the concept as a “fast premium” pizza spot that will also feature a small market selling specialty items.
Adriani will serve as the Master Pizzaiolo — Italian for the person who makes pizza — and will train the ‘local pizzaioli’ at each location. A four-time World Pizza Making Award winner, Adriani grew up in Rome and has owned and operated several restaurants including Forcella in NYC.
Neapolitan-style pizzas will be made with locally sourced and season ingredients. The menu will also feature a variety of appetizers, salads and desserts, and the beverage selection will include kegged cocktails, craft beers and wine. Each restaurant will also house a small market offering imported Italian food products and other domestic items.
The restaurant will donate 10 percent from the sale of every Jarred peach and tomato to No Kid Hungry, a campaign ending child hunger in the United States.
