If you were one of the many people who stood in line when New York-based Halal Guys opened its first Atlanta location earlier this year, there’ll soon be another place for you to queue up.

Mamoun’s Falafel is set to open six locations in metro Atlanta and Athens. No addresses have been announced, though real estate options are being explored in both markets.

Founded by Syrian immigrant Mamoun Chater 45 years ago in New York, Mamoun’s serves up traditional Middle Eastern dishes including falafel, shawarma and baba ganoush in the United States.  Now operated by Mamoun’s sons, the restaurant has locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The Georgia Mamoun’s will be overseen by franchisees Kalki Patel and Parimal Patal.
