Tomato lovers unite for the Attack of the Killer Tomato festival!
The ninth annual festival returns to Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on Sunday, July 16.
Created by chef and restauranteur Ford Fry, the festival brings together the South’s top chefs, mixologists and local farmers to celebrate local, organically grown food. Proceeds from the event support Georgia Organics, an area nonprofit that connects Georgia families to organic food grown in the state.
Attendees will be able to enjoy samples of tomato-based dishes while sipping beer from local SweetWater Brewing Co.
Participating chefs include those from the Ford Fry family of restaurants as well as more than three dozen other Atlanta chefs, from some of the cities best restaurants. They will be joined by visiting chefs that include 2017 James Beard Award Best Chef Southeast semifinalists Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman of Hog & Hominy and Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen in Memphis; Roy Choi of Kogi BBQ and Chego! in Los Angeles; and Kelly Fields of Willa Jean in New Orleans. Along with food and libations, there will be live music throughout the day from the B-53’s, an Athens’ based tribute band, as well as Ford Fry’s own band.
General admission ticket are $49.99 per person until July 15 and $75 at the door. Georgia Organics’ members can purchase tickets for $40. Tickets can be purchased here.
