A Dallas-based fast-casual chicken chain is bringing its birds to Georgia this year.

Retired NFL cornerback Van Jakes’ company, Jake Management 22, has signed a deal to bring five Cowboy Chicken stores to the Atlanta area, with two locations announced: One at 801 Southpoint Blvd. in McDonough set to open in late June, one at 1950 Satellite Blvd. in Duluth in August and one at 425 Ernest W. Barrett Pkwy. NW in Kennesaw by the end of the year.

Cowboy Chicken announced it would expand here last year, but no specific locations had yet been announced.

In addition to rotisserie chicken, the restaurant’s menu also includes sides such as fried okra, baked sweet potatoes and creamed spinach; chicken sandwiches, tacos and enchiladas; salads and desserts.

Jakes also operates Denny’s locations in Tennessee.
