Feel that? There’s a chill in the air. Which means thoughts are turning from bikinis and barbecue to skis and hot chocolate.
Buckhead restaurant Yebo Beach Haus is getting in the winter spirit with its pop-up Yebo Ski Haus. The concept will take over the space at 111 West Paces Ferry Rd. NW starting Wednesday, Nov. 30 until March 1, 2017, when it will transform back to the Beach Haus.
The Ski Haus’ revamped menu will offer hearty fare including snacks such as a seasonal meat and cheese board and salted honey walnuts; small plates such as beets and burrata with pesto and Bordeaux balsamic vinegar and roasted cauliflower with South African red curry butter and toasted almonds; and large plates such as smoked trout pate with caviar, chive oil and olive pan au levain and pan-seared scallops with sweet potato puree, brown butter sauce and crushed hazelnut. Some Yebo Beach Haus dishes will also remain on the menu.
New cocktails include the Bunny Slope made with Anchor Old Tom gin, rose liquor, dolin blanc vermouth, lemon, peychauds and a champagne topper along with hot beverages including Alpine Dreams – homemade hot chocolate, green chartreuse, Italian meringue, yebo chocolate and cookie straw.
The “apres ski” decor from owner Justin Anthony’s interior designer wife Kelly Wolf-Anthony will include old-fashioned wooden skis taking the place of surfboards in the ceiling rafters, plaid blankets and pillows on the restaurant’s seats and fire pits on the patios.
Still not in the mood to embrace winter? Each customer will leave Yebo Ski Haus with hot cocoa to sip on at home.
