The team behind the Brick Store Pub in Decatur is bringing their talents to downtown Duluth.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Good Word Brew Pub will open as part of the Parsons Alley development, which is redeveloping seven historic downtown Duluth buildings.

Partner Todd DiMatteo told the Chronicle that the brewpub — the Brick Store’s team first foray into making its own beer — will focus on “approachable beers and mixed fermentations such as sours and IPAs.”

Brick Store owners Dave Blanchard, Michael Gallagher and Tom Moore were recently knighted in Belgium.

In addition to Good Word, several new restaurants will be part of “The Block” at Parson’s Alley, a 30,000 square-foot restaurant (and retail) district surrounding Duluth’s Village Green.

Dreamland BBQ opened in June, while O4W Pizza moved from Atlanta into the former Steverino’s space in July.

New to the complex, according to the Chronicle, will be a Korean steakhouse and oyster bar from the team behind Taiyo Ramen in Decatur (which also plans to open Suzy Siu’s Baos in Krog Street Market this month), and a brick-and-mortar location for food truck Simply Done Donuts. A high-end chocolatier is also set to join the Parsons Alley roster.
